Stacy King

Writer & nerd

About

Stacy King is a professional nerd who has built a career out of introducing new people to her favorite obsessions.

She’s written extensively on Dungeons and Dragons licensed books, including a crochet book, an upcoming original graphic novel, and co-authoring the Young Adventurer’s Guide series.

As well, she’s currently adapting YA novels from the Disney Fairies line into manga books, starting with the NYT best-selling Wings of Starlight by Alison Saft.

Her previous manga writing includes several titles in the Manga Classics series, featuring western literary classics like Pride and Prejudice and Dracula. Along with writing, she is fascinated by textile arts such as cross-stitch, needlework, sewing and historical attire.

She lives in downtown Toronto with her husband, comics author Jim Zub, and far too many dice.

A white woman with red hair in braids, wearing a frilly white dress and straw hat, smiles at the camera from a crouch position. She is surrounded by about a dozen friendly, fluffy bunnies, some of whom are climbing onto her lap in search of the food she is holding.
Visiting Ōkunoshima (aka Bunny Island) in Japan, a peak Disney Princess life experience. A++++ friendly rabbits, would squee again.
